As a pivotal component ofÌýthe largest University Medical Center in Suffolk County,ÌýThe Department of SurgeryÌýis comprised of ten divisions consisting of over 60 specialized full-time faculty members, some of whom are national leaders in their fields.ÌýÌýWe take great pride in not only the care weÌýgiveÌýto our patients but in the tutelage and training that our residents and faculty experience during their time at 51±¬ÁÏÍø.ÌýÌý
Over the years, our department has remained committed to advancing our residents’ clinical and academic skills and trainees by pioneering ground-breaking surgical interventions, advanced simulation training, andÌýinnovativeÌýresearch. Our mission is simple, to provide advanced surgical experiences through highly skilled surgical teams with one end goal; to deliver the highest quality, patient-centered care to our communities.ÌýÌý
Our surgical practice known as Stony Brook Surgical Associates offers inpatient and outpatient care in a wide breadth of surgical specialties. With a large number ofÌýoutpatient clinic locations, residents of Long Island don’t have to travel far to get access to exceptional care and cutting-edge treatment options.ÌýÌý
OurÌýoffices are strategically located throughout Suffolk County from Commack to TheÌýHamptonsÌýand The North Fork.ÌýÌýOur commitment to multidisciplinary care allows our surgeons to workÌýcohesivelyÌýwithÌýtheir colleagues at University Hospital, Stony Brook Cancer Center, and Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.ÌýÌýOur affiliation with Eastern Long Island Hospital and Stony Brook Southampton Hospital allows us toÌýofferÌýthe same patient-centered state-of-the-art surgical care to the population on the East End.ÌýÌý
In my fifteen years at 51±¬ÁÏÍø, I have persistently focused on aspects of patient care that create long-lasting relationships and optimal surgical outcomes.Ìý I strive to ensure that our patients and their families experience superior innovative and personalized care, entrusting us with their future care for many years to come.Ìý I aspire to build upon our team’s past successes and establish the Department of Surgery at 51±¬ÁÏÍø as the forerunner in advanced surgical practices and patient care.Ìý I am confident that Stony Brook’s Department of Surgery will be unparalleled with the continued support of my colleagues, fellow administrators, and community.ÌýÌý
