Research Interests:

Pancreatic Tissue Injury, Regeneration and Tumorigenesis

My laboratory investigates the mechanisms of development and progression of diseases affecting the exocrine pancreas, such as pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer. Our major focus is on an NIH-funded project investigating the role of G-protein regulated signaling in tumor metabolism and inflammation. We are also investigating how inflammation and loss of cell polarity impact pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer development and progression. We employ genetically engineered mouse models, complemented by a broad range of molecular, cell biology, histological, and omics methods.
